Not enough time for Technology!

I just realized it has been almost 4 months since I posted!  Why? Because I have finished 3 Master's Classes since then and have started a 4th.  Wow, that sounds good.  This means I am a  little more than 1/2 way done.  I am so very excited about this.

This most recent class has however been very difficult for me.  The class is on educational research.  Really not on technology at all, but in a round about way if you consider using the internet (technology) to research education.  It is a lot of writing and research and not very fun to do.  This is really out of my comfort zone. But, I will push through and get it done and be glad it is over.

See you in another 4 months probably.  I should only have 2 classes left by then!

9-11-01

Tomorrow I will be talking with my students about 9-11.  They were only between 6-10 at the time.  I am interested to know what their thoughts about it were.

My lessons tomorrow are going to be related to 9/11. Here’s a good spot for content in case any of you are interested:

Twitter Spam

I left my twitter account open, so that fellow students from my class could easily join.  Well, instead I had some stranger become a fellower. Today I tried to click on her account and her account was suspended for suspicious activity!

This is exactly why I keep everything private.  As soon as this class is over I will make it private or I might cancel it all together.  I haven't decided yet.

Lessons I learned in week 2

The last week of the previous class I started to not feel well.  By the time my last assignment was due I had the flu.  I wasn't really sure it was the flu, but after reading all of the symptoms of the flu from the school district nurse, I had the flu.

I have only started feeling better the last few days.  The problem is when you are working on a master's program like this one, there is no time to be sick.  When you get behind, it is hard to catch up.  I posted week 1 late, I turned in week 1assignment late and here it is 2 hours from the end of week 2 and I am still playing catch up.

I don't really get the whole twitter thing.  I have yet to decide how this could be useful in the classroom.  Maybe as reminders?  But then again, I feel like my students need to be responsible for their assignments.  Not sure yet...how does everyone else feel about this?
